Neuss is maintaining close contact with four sister cities. The oldest sister city partnership with the city Châlons-en-Champagne dates back to 1972. Partnership with the cities Pskov and Rijeka was established in 1990. The sister city partnership agreement with Saint Paul, Minnesota/U.S. was signed in 1999
