Ninth survey of the Turkish population in NRW

Approx. 1,000 men and women of Turkish origin living in NRW took part in a comprehensive survey of the Turkish population in NRW, conducted by the Foundation for Turkish Studies on behalf of the NRW Department for Integration. Approx. 1 million citizens of Turkish origin live in NRW, making it the largest Turkish community in Germany. The results and a summary can be downloaded from the homepage of the Foundation for Turkish Studies at http://www.zft-online.de.

Improving the health care of Turkish children

Turkish migrants can get advice on health issues via a national service hotline tel. 0180-2282323. This new service is aimed at improving information, in particular for Turkish parents, on the provision of regular health checks and immunisation programmes for children. The hotline advice is provided in Turkish by doctors and health experts who themselves have a Turkish background.
